We're 5 years in to the 21st century (well, four actually because the century didn't start until 2001, if you want to nitpick), and according to all of the futurist and sci-fi predictions, we'd have flying cars and express shuttles to our vacation destinations on the moon by now. So, where is it? The future as imagined for us is a lot cooler than the future turned out to be. Though, I suppose that I shouldn't complain too much that the future didn't turn out exactly as they had imagined it, since nobody imagined this wonderful thing called the internet that is currently bringing this little rant to the world.
But, they promised us flying cars and I want my flying car, dangit.
