What I learned from the Vice Presidential debate

I learned that:

John Edwards has better hair than Dick Cheney, and although Edwards probably spends lots of money on getting it cut, my sister thinks that it looks like a Fantastic Sam's cut (I think his hair is trying to remind people of a young JFK or something). In any case, Kerry/Edwards seems to have the corner on the botox and hair "product" market. All of that tossing of footballs that they do doesn't disguise the fact that they're flaming metrosexuals.

Compared to Dick Cheney, who seems to be a walking encyclopedia, John Edwards looks like an intellectual lightweight. Also, the way answered questions without deviating from the coached script (which was obvious to me, at least) made it seem like he's incapable of having an independent thought of his own.

One word: Gravitas. Cheney has it in spades, and seeing him splitscreened with Edwards makes Edwards look like a spoiled little boy.

I do believe that John Kerry actually said they were the team with the best hair...and to be honest,if I had the record that Kerry had the last 20 years in the Senate, I would be running on my hair also.

There's no doubt that Cheney comes across as much more in command than Edwards does. Cheney has been doing this for a long time, and Edwards looked like a first term Senator, with a trial attorney background. Although this was good to see, Bush needs to perform well here (in my home town of St. Louis) this Friday. He cannot do as poorly as he did last week and expect his base to stay excited about his candidacy. He has my vote, but it is the "enlightened" undecideds that haven't been able to determine what either guy stand for (although they have been at this for over a year) that will decide this election. That's not reassuring in the least.

Yep. Cheney is 100% manhood next to that pre-pubescent boy Edwards.

A fancy haircut at the day spa won't win a presidential debate.

Should Edwards be suing a doctor out of practice right about now?

You know, the funny thing is, despite all that talk about the excellent hair of the Kerry/Edwards ticket is that NEITHER one of them looks good! My gosh, they've got the worst stereotypical preppy country-clubber look going on...they THINK their hair looks good, because they paid a lot of money for it, but any stylish metrosexual would be embarrased to have hair like that.

There is a nice video of Edwards getting groomed before an on-air appearance floating around out there. Google on edwards hair and you'll find it - it was originally on slate. It's pure comedy gold!
