The good news (for us): Charley turned and is going to hit south of us (unless it turns again). That means that instead of downtown Tampa under water looking like a disaster movie, all of the water from Tampa Bay could very easily all be blown out of the bay and into the Gulf.
The bad news: It's now going to be hitting south near Port Charlotte, where they aren't nearly as prepared, they're barely above sea level, and they're going to be getting hit with a Category 4 hurricane.
