So, this afternoon I'm watching the news conference held by the head of Hillsborough county emergency operations, and he's talking about the storm evacuation plans and all that serious stuff that you think about when you're about to get hit by the worst storm to hit the area since 1921, and some reporter asks, "Are the Buccaneers still playing on Saturday?" That guy really has his priorities right. Odds are, all of downtown Tampa will be under several feet of water tomorrow, I seriously doubt that much will be left on some of the barrier islands, and people are asking about preseason football. Whether or not we have a game on Saturday is the least of our worries at this point.
At the moment, the track of the hurricane has where I live in the direct path of the eye, so I may be incommunicado after tomorrow afternoon. I'm going to try to blog through the storm and post photos as the storm is going on, but I don't know how long we'll have power, and after the power goes out, precious laptop battery time shouldn't be going for blogging.
