Here's the question. I came across the Barbie Linux thing on a mailing list that I subscribe to--a lot of the people on the list thought that it was offensive to women because of some of the things that the spoof has Mattel people saying (I'm not going to post those excerpts because I think that it needs to be read in context). I personally don't think that the article should be offensive to women in computing, because I see it as spoofing the way that Mattel markets computer products to girls (like the afore mentioned fashion games).
Anyway, what do other people think?

The people who are complaining say that even in spoofing that attitude, it crossed the line with comments like that.
