Sugar Shock

"Twinkie" is already a fairly cute word. But, leave it to a preschooler to take it just a little bit further. Wrenn has trouble with the "tw" sounds, so it comes out "winkie" instead. The result is an irrestistable urge to be ridiculously indulgent.

"Momma, can I have a winkie for breakfast?"

"Sure, sweetie. Here, wash it down with your Coke, and finish eating that snickers bar so we can go play outside."

(Okay, so I didn't say that, but wouldn't I be the coolest mom if I did? I'd also be the STUPIDEST mom)

I have this whole new dictionary of words kids say growing in my head... that's awesome... right up there with having a beaver.... or... when you were in first grade... the school year was ending... and you were so excited about summer vacation... mostly because all the bigger kids were... since you didn't really have a concept of summer vacation yet... and your mom told you that once summer started, you'd be bored to pieces before it was over... and ashley cried... because she "wanted a board, too."

p.s. silly baby... like we'd give you a board and not let her have one, too....
