Tuesday Confessional:
1. I sing in the car and I don't care who sees me. (Go ahead. Laugh.)
2. I've assigned each of the numbers a personality. (1 is content, 2 is helpful, 3 has a crush on 6, 4 tries to hard, 5 thinks very highly of himself, etc.)
3. At least two days out of the week, I am eating lunch in my pajamas. (perk of a stay-at-home mom)
4. Checking my email is the very first and last thing I do each day. (nerd)
5. I get really sad when the cars beside me on a long drive eventually pull off. (goodbye, old pal, we were really a team)
Okay: Your turn! Fess Up!!
Posted by Shannon at September 23, 2003 09:51 AM | TrackBack1. Right now I'm listening to Billy Ocean's "Get out of my dreams, get into my car." And enjoying it.
2. My littler sister e-mailed me my 11th grade class picture. Out of 35 students, I can't remember all of their names. But I get an overwhelming sense of embarassment for being there or for who I was or something.
3. I like to get to church early to get a good seat, which is the third row from the back on the right side on the right aisle. It's the only seat I like. I can't stand sitting anywhere else, because I'm limited in my vision of other people in the sanctuary if I sit somewhere else. I also don't sit all the way in the back because I can't stand seeing the backs of everyone's head, and plus my favorite people come in late, and I like to be able to look over and give them a nod when they stroll in.
Posted by: JosiahQ at September 23, 2003 10:04 AM1. I realized last night in Target that I talk to myself while shopping. Kind of a low mumble, actually. I tried to stop, but absolutely couldn't! I needed myself to help me make decisions about what I should get.
2. I reset the mileage measurer thing in my car every time I go more than two miles from my house.
3. I can't sleep with the closet door open. Hello! The Boogey Man!!
Posted by: Jeannette at September 23, 2003 10:59 AMI CANNOT sleep with my bedroom door open. Even if I'm home alone. I've tried. It's impossible.
When it's dark, I always look in the back seat of my car to make sure no one is back there.
Posted by: Christin at September 23, 2003 02:24 PMJosiah, maybe you shouldn't have confessed the Billy Ocean thing. That's shameful.
Posted by: Shannon at September 23, 2003 02:26 PMShannon, have you ever read "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn"? Francie makes up stories based on math problems and the numbers' personalities.
My Confessions:
1. I talk to myself too, at times...once I answered back, like it was a conversation.
2. It annoyed me when my Mom tried to get me to smile by saying "There it comes! It's a smile! It's trying to come out!" but I did that yesterday to a student (it worked).
3. I cannot be in my apartment alone without the TV on. I'll even sink so low as to watch Raymond.
Posted by: Krista at September 23, 2003 02:51 PMhey now. raymond is a good show.
confession:
i used to be addicted to 90210 and dawson's creek.
now THAT is scary.
When I'm not actively doing something, I subconsciously start solving math problems or simply spelling out words in my head. Nerdy to the core.
I have to go through the alphabet in my head when using a phone book and Spiceworld is one of my all time favorite movies!
Posted by: Patrick at September 24, 2003 08:58 AM1. It stil takes an active, intentional thought process for me to tell left from right. Meaning that I sympathize with Derek Zoolander a whole lot.
2. I love Will and Grace.
3. I put ketchup on my popcorn.
Posted by: Micah at September 24, 2003 09:34 AM1. I also feel bad when the car in front of me on a long drive leaves, but because I have to find a new guinea pig so I wont get the ticket.
2. I take at least two showers a day and each one last no less than ten minutes.
3. I watch "Queer Eye For The Straight Guy" and like it; they have some good tips what can I say.
4. Jennifer and I actually kissed before we were married....the French were there :)
Posted by: svenska at September 24, 2003 11:46 AMI still can't tell left from right.
I watch Queer Eye, Will & Grace, and laugh heartily at the ribald jokes.
I parse sentences during the news. ESPECIALLY if the newscasters use poor grammar.

Posted by: Shannon at September 25, 2003 09:30 AM1. I usually don't laugh at a tv show/movie if I'm watching it by myself (W&G; and Seinfeld are exceptions)
2. I love W&G;
3. If I see Saved by the Bell on I'll watch it just so I can say the lines along with them.
4. I think that plain white rice (cooked but not steaming hot) is really good with fresh cold diced tomatoes and a little S&P.;
5. You can call me Cliff. My parents say that I rattle-off random facts/trivia so much that I'm like Cliff Clavan on Cheers.

Posted by: jessie bessie at September 29, 2003 12:20 AMUMMM, i have a bad habit of randomly making up lies for no reason. Such as...someone calls me on my cell phone while im in the drive thru at taco bell...they say " so britt, what're you doing?" and i answer " oh, nothing, getting food at mcdonalds"... my other thing is if i hear a song on the radio, i automatically put a friend's relationship to the song and i try to analyze every verse in the song.. then i think about them everytime i hear the song...ALSO, there are people that i will pass by in say, the grocery store, i do not know them and do not meet them, but for some reason their face will be stuck in my head for a few days... and i will think about them and what their life is like...
