Shan-ism

Have you ever over-described something? It's kind of embarassing. Not that long ago, Amy, Patrick, and I were talking about the color of someone's hair, and I said, "Yeah, it's black as a. . . a. . . raven's feather". They laughed mercilessly at my dramatic description. I don't even know why I said it. It was really more of a brown anyway.

I love it... and I like to do that, too... when you guys were little, I'd say you were growing like wildflowers (instead of the more common growing like weeds...), and when I trip over something I'm looking for, I say if it'd been a bear, it'd have had me for supper (instead of the more common if it'd been a snake, it'd have bitten me...)... and now... for one of my very favorite... that your Uncle Rodney's grandpa used to say when someone was really drunk... he'd say they were plumb loopedy-legged... lol... I just love that one...
