Fog Foe of the Motorcyclist

The other night I came out of my friend's house and found my motorcycle battery dead. Luckily my bike is carbeurated and I could bump start it (push forward, get rolling, pop the clutch). The ignition has 3 settings off, run and park. In the park setting the tail light stays on so that you can park in a parking spot and it's easier for people to see and not try and park on top of your bike. Supposedly one should be able to leave the bike like that for 24 hours max. Not so.

Then on the way home I ran into some thick fog on the highway. Thank God no one else was on the road. My glasses became fogged completely opaque before I could blink my eyes. I had to stop in the middle of the road and put the safety glasses in my pocket and pull my regular glasses down my nose a bit to see. A harrowing experience to say the least.

If you wonder what it was like; put a pair of glasses in the freezer for about 5 minutes and put them on. Works best on a humid summer day.
