Oh, that Liberal Media Fuzzy Math!

Brent Bozell's Media Research Center captured CNN's Judy Woodruff utilizing fuzzy math in an interview with the recently-certified Governor of Washington State. With the election victory being so close--a difference of 42 votes--Woodruff wanted to know if the governor-elect really felt like he'd won.

Governor-elect Dino Rossi affirmed that he does consider himself the winner, prompting Woodruff to counter in the taped satellite interview caught by the MRC's Ken Shepherd: "Well, but what, a margin of 42 votes out of 2.8 million cast. Are you the winner? Or was this more of a tie?"
Rossi: "No, a tie is actually when you tie. When you're one vote ahead, you win. When you're one vote behind, you lose. And, so, it definitely is not a tie." [emphasis added]

The humor quotient is self-evident.
