As of two this morning, Delane went into surgery to have his multiple organ transplant done. The word from an hour or so ago, is that things are going well, though we don't have any specifics. We expect the surgery to be completed sometime later today, but will keep you posted.
Last night I drove Anna and Sofie to Michigan to meet up with Anna's mom, Mary. I just spoke with Anna and they will be heading to Pittsburgh to be with Delane shortly.
We are both excited that at last the transplant is being done, but of course anxious about Delane as well.
Please pray for safety of travel for Anna, Sofie and Mary, and the other family members who will be travelling. Pray that Delane's life be spared, that the surgery would be successful, and that we would always be mindful of the Lord's mercies.
