On Monday night, after my Plato class, I was given the keys to my very own study carrel. It is an enclosed cubicle (roughly six by eight), with a locking door and--get this--an outlet! Woo hoo! And it's mine mine mine till I leave Loyola. (My preciousssss!) Oh, and did I mention the desk has drawers that lock as well? I'm all a-tingle!
I've already got an icon diptych (Theotokos and Pantocrator) to place in it that I'm going to have blessed. I'll also get some holy water (to bless all the books of those pagan philosophers!). I'm set. My own little prayer study in Cudahy library!
