Too much time video-gaming and watching TV in my past has left me realizing that I missed out on a lot by not reading much before. I've finally started reading the Lord of the Rings trilogy. For those of you philosophical types out there (you know who you are), you might be interested in an upcoming book, Lord of the Rings and Philosophy, which will be released on August 3. Covenant College Philosophy professor Bill Davis has authored a chapter in the book. Having already read his chapter, I think the book will be a great read.

You ought to try reading The Hobbit first. It is written in a simpler style , but provides a backdrop for the trilogy. Have fun.
