Jerry Lewis sure has gotten fat

If you saw any of the MDA telethon on Labor Day (does anyone actually watch that?), you saw the enormous, Jabba-like creature that's passing for Jerry Lewis these days. I swear, he's about six times the Jerry he was 25 years ago.

What happened to Jerry's Kids? I guess he ate them.

Yeah, he's definitely bigger, alright. Reason being, he's apparently on massive amounts of steroids (prednizone) to combat his pulmonary fibrosis... I had to take steroids like that years ago for a kidney ailment... it's not fun, but the side effects like weight gain and "moon face" subside after you get off of them. Unfortunately, I don't think he'll ever be able to.

He looks like Java from Star Wars. He's enormous.
If you could stick a pin in him he would burst.
Poor Jerry, or should I say Rich Jerry.
He was funny.

Jerry looks like a blowfish. Why so fat? Is he a rat? This can't be healthy. He's going to eat himself to death. We remember the good old days when he was so funny and nutty. It doesn't even look like him. Maybe it's someone else and he's dead.

Your lack of compassion is shocking. This man (Jerry Lewis) has a very serious illness and is forced to take medication which has horrible side effects. Yet he still tries to go and do good for children. He doesn’t need to, he could hide out to avoid public scrutiny from people with your level of unkindness and stupidity.

I had to be on this medication in my teens for Lupus and dealt with these kind of cruel comments. As my condition improved I was able to get off this medication and went back to normal. Now in my thirties I am very ill again and have been put back on the medication. I wish people like you did not exist so I would not be afraid of going out in public.

Jerry Lewis was every kids idol, back in the 50's,
including mine. This is pure, super pure comic genius. To me he is and will always be the greatest.

He gave and he helped....Say what you want.
What is...simply is

Jerry Lewis is a remarkable man. He goes non-stop,sometimes day and night to help his kids. Being a physician I have talked to many physicians that work with him over the years and they think he is great also. It would be only right for him to be given an humanitarian award for his dedication and work ethic. There are many unsung heros on the Telethone. Many individuals give money for Jerry's kids. It also proves how giving people are in the United States.

Jerry Lewis does not have to do what he has done for years. He works very hard to help his kids. He should be very proud of what has done. The meds he is taking makes him gain wt. and other side effects. So be nice and also be gratful you have someone who cares enough to what he has done for kids, one of those kids could be yours. Thank you jerry for being a good person who does care. We need more people like you in this world.

How insensitive to make such cruel remarks about someone who joyfully entertained us for many years with comedy like you don't see today. He wasn't about filth and bad language to make you laugh. So what if he has gained a lot of weight. Does that make him less valuable or loveable? Comments about his or anybody else's weight show just how superficial people can be. How sad. I feel sorry for them, not Jerry. He's going to be just fine.
