joy, these are beautiful. quality. i like your sunrise reflection in the car window. and i love the little boy standing still with the ball...how all the other figures are moving around him. and the one titled "thankful", you caught something in her eyes. i could say something about each photo. good work.
Posted by: kelly at January 12, 2005 07:27 PMshe's havin a baby and man does she ever have that happy sparkle in her eyes...it's fun to see her at church b/c you can just tell..
Posted by: gwen at January 12, 2005 08:56 PMWow. Nicely done. All are good, many extraordinary. And, as they say in baseball, good eye.
Posted by: Neil E. Das at January 13, 2005 09:02 AMGlad to see you are still alive. After that hiatus you took, I was wondering. My favorites of these are "Day," "Night," and "Protection." Good stuff.
Posted by: JRC at January 13, 2005 09:11 AMif i had caught the angle better, "Day" and "Night" would've reflected the same trees. "Day" actually reflects pretty much the opposite of the big top photo's contents -- would've been cool, but ah well. the big top photo is another morning shot.
Posted by: joy at January 13, 2005 10:16 AMreally, Really, REALLY like these, joy. =) agreed with das about the "good eye!"
Posted by: amt at January 13, 2005 10:28 AMwhat was under the chocolate in the star?
enjoyed the pix very much! thanks!
Posted by: mels at January 13, 2005 10:52 AMi think it was a sort of custard. with a layer of gelatin too. like tapioca minus the balls. and a raspberry sauce of some kind.
no raisins -- fortunately for the raisins. ['it's a shame about raisins.']
Posted by: joy at January 13, 2005 11:15 AMactually, i was wondering if that star was just solid chocolate or what. at first i thought it mihgt be a preztel or something, but then after i posted i thought, "duh, it was probably just plain chocolate silly!" the wording of my question was really bad though, i know. very unclear.
that underneath part sounds yummy though.
Posted by: mels at January 13, 2005 02:40 PMyes, it's a solid-but-spindly/decorative star formed of dribbled/hardened chocolate. it was just leaning up against the custard tower-of-sorts. yes.
