awesome shot!
ok, i wished soooo badly i had my camera with me at the mall today. they've opened a new store called build-a-bear where kids can go through the whole process, pick out the animal, help stuff it, sew it up, dress it, then pay big bucks for it...anyway, this little girl was sitting in a chair in the store with her newly stuffed bear waiting for the rest of her family...it would have been the perfect shot! she kept nodding off with her arms wrapped as tight as could be around the animal. anyway. it was perfect.
Joy do you love the song? I remember hearing/seeing it for the very first time when I was all of 7 or 8, and I wanted to listen to it over and over again...so soothing. Julie Andrews. I still think she's amazing and don't care how corny it sounds.

h: yes. i was watching some promo thing for princess diaries 2 and that raven girl was being interviewed re: her part in the movie plus the couple of songs she records for it. she was saying how a highlight for her was a brief piece she got to do WITH julie andrews; i started thinking about the incredulous privilege that would be. (as a child, i would think often with jealousy of those actors/actresses who were the cinematic von trapp children -- cycling around salzburg with mary poppins herself -- imagine!)
Hector Elizondo, who plays Joe the bodyguardish in the princess diaries described Julie Andrews as "a queen in disguise." I think that is so fitting. She is an amazing and beautiful woman with whom I would love to act.
