Disturbing

The disturbing mistreatment of Iraqi prisoners at Abu Ghraib is a slap in the face to those who feel the U.S. has taken the moral high road in liberating Iraq from a cruel dictator. It reminded me of the depraved abuse by the Nazis in WWII. What possessed so many to stoop so low, to completely supress their moral conscience? Although not nearly on the same scale, history repeated itself in Vietnam and now again in Iraq as American soldiers (and civilian contractors) who never would have considered such crimes before the war become desensitized. War changes people. The inherent evil in the whole mess comes through loud an clear as the absolute worst within people rises to the surface, on all sides. While these recent reports may be isolated cases reflecting a minority of the military, the images of entire crowds of Iraqis cheering as charred American bodies are displayed publicly is evidence that this same hatred can plague an entire culture. It would be naive to think it couldn't happen here. 1 John 5:19 wasn't kidding.

Hi there, an anonymous reader of H's site who just stumbled onto yours. I also like Eclesiastes 8:9, "...man has dominated man to his injury." Is 45:18 is awesome as well because there Jehovah cleary states he "...did not create it simply for nothing" and "...meant it even to be inhabited" when speaking of the earth. Interesting how the bible puts everything in perspective, Jehovah will end all wars someday. Also, the abuse of the prisoners makes me fear what will happen to Witnesses in the future, far worse things are in store for this old world. Cool business card, btw. -Dylan

This world is illusion... anything bad that happens can be undone. Do you think that the designer and constructor of the universe, earth, sun, and humans (not to mention the millions of other beings) would not be able to reconstruct the trade towers with every person who lost their lives back as if nothing happened? Why not? He remembers them, can recreate them, and can restore their memories. We can do that with computers because man designed them and know how they work. Jehovah designed humans and knows how we work too.

This one site said the number of civilian casualties during this war has surpased those during Saddams reign. I wish we could be there right now and experience, just for a short while, the real story and not this candy coated fishstick the media is feeding us.
