Darn. He Lived.

Catching up on my reading after a busy couple of weeks, I found this tasty little Thomas Sowell quote in a piece he wrote during the height of, what I've since dubbed, "The Great Dick Cheney Shot A Guy Panic of 2006":

"If Mr. Whittington is so uncooperative as not to die, there will be much disappointment and frustration in Beltway media circles."

While my gut reaction -- as a member of the media -- is to stand up for my professional brethren, Mr. Sowell's thoughts -- as they often do -- win out.
