Senate Majority Leader Dr. Bill Frist and his Republican colleagues are fighting a strategic battle to bring to light the Democratic obstructionism on judicial nominees. Starts in about thirty minutes and lasts till midnight Eastern time tomorrow.
Seems to me the Dems got their panties in a bunch over their minority status in the Senate. Can't blame them for taking tactical advantage of the Senate Rules, but they've shot themselves in the foot, as it were. In the weirdest contradiction to their own class pandering, they've denied racial minority judicial candidates to get an open and fair up or down vote.
But the GOP is going to try to make them play fair by shining the light of publicity on them.
Looks like the Democratic memo will get some play too.
Should be great fun. Wish I had cable and CSPAN!
